For as long as we have been active online (since 2004), Balance510 has been a main stay, not only here at TheSlyShow.com but as a permanent fixture in the Bay Area rap music scene. It'd be pretty hard to not know who Balance is. He's done work with literally every known rapper in the Bay and has maintained a reputation that people have come to respect.

After a recent edition of Balance appearing on The Sly Show, DJ Motive confirmed that he would in fact be doing a Balance mix. We paid tribute to his 10+ years in the business by throwing back 40 different songs, covering over 3 eras of Balance music. Balance spoke to Sly and said, "I have 3 types of fans; the New Bay era fans, fans that found me when I was doing music with The Jacka on the popular song "Cant Go," and recent fans who have found Balance through songs like Stroke, etc."

Consistently putting out quality music, Balance has become somewhat of a Bay Area LL Cool J, which is why we chose the title: LL Cool Bay. Check out Balance on his social media pages and you will clearly see the most beautiful fan base anyone can ask for. "Bad bitches are everywhere," Sly has often said to Balance jokingly.

Balance has made time for us in more ways than one. A few years ago, Sly was producing some sports-themed content on TheSlyShow.com. Sly and Balance provided commentary on a Dallas Cowboys show. As we know, Sly reps for the 49ers while Balance is a loyal Cowboys fan so naturally they threw a few competitive jabs at each other.

Balance considers himself a regular on The Sly Show, having appeared countless times dating back to 2005. He said this is like the show Cheers to him. The Sly Show has been a great way to learn things about Balance that you probably didn't know, including his views on TV shows, sports, and life issues.
