New Video Interview: The New Bay by Big Rich

Big Rich jumped on twitter the other day and ran into this trending topic that looked familiar "New Bay." Rich's whole timeline was filled with supporters of this "new" movement of young artists and there were some people not too fond of the "new" concept. The issue the non-supporters had was this "new bay" tag was a remake of the original new bay which began in 2004. The new bay of 2004 consisted of Mistah Fab, The Team, Frontline, Balance, and bunch of other young, new artists rising up from the bay. The 2004 version rebelled against the so-called "Old Bay" and demanded their respect as the new generation of bay area sound. This movement soon dissolved and spun off into what the world knows as "The Hyphy Movement." Of course with help from the Bay Area rap vets E-40, Too Short and Keak Da Sneak. Fast forward to 2011, we now have the new "new bay" and they have sparked a lot of controversy on the internet, maybe by design maybe not. See, the issue now is the same issue as before some of the older generation bay rappers are offended by the shots fired by the young cats stating that "its over for the older cats." Now Rich is definitely a veteran in the bay area and admits he was offended by some of the statements the young cats made. But, they explained to him that its a method to their madness. So I decided to give them a chance to explain their "new" movement without interruption or an argument breaking out. Enjoy
