While performing for A-Plus of the Hieroglyphics at a Bay Area show, Bishop, an up and coming rapper, impresses a connected DJ who offers him a chance to shine by opening for one of hip hop’s biggest artists. With his three best friends; Mouth, Aaron and Jocquai supporting him, they all head to L.A. Despite money and transportation problems, Bishop’s skills prove him worthy of the trip and he and his crew are invited to an after party at an L.A. mansion. While Bishop’s attention is focused on a particular female, Mouth, his right hand man and acting manager meets an A & R rep from a label and decides to set up a meeting. With a buzz building around him, Bishop is forced to choose between going mainstream or staying independent and holding on to his creative control, all while facing the realities of success and friendship in “The Industry”.
